Cameron Smith produced a final-round 66 to claim a one-shot victory at The 2022 PLAYERS Championship.
The 28-year-old Aussie finished his final day at the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass with four bogeys against 10 birdies to sign for a 13-under par total, one clear of Anirban Lahiri (69).
Smith earned a record $3,600,000 and 600 FedExCup points, which moves him to No. 1 on the tour’s money list and second in points.
He also picked up 80 Official World Golf Rankings points and will move to No. 6 – his best career position.
Runner-up Lahiri took home a check for $2,180,000 along with 330 FedEx Cup points and 48 OWGR points.
