Tiger Woods posted this neat little clip on Instagram. The 14-time major champion talks about his favorite memory of Torrey Pines – which amazingly (but not really) has nothing to do with the Farmers Insurance Open, an event he’s won an incredible 7 times!
Tiger’s most memorable moment in La Jolla, naturally, was winning the 2008 U.S. Open against Rocco Mediate – essentially playing on what Tiger calls “a busted up” leg.
And as Tiger points out, the famous putt only got him into a playoff – which was 18 holes the next day, plus one overtime hole.
“Not only did I play an 18 playoff with a busted leg but played the 19th too… That’s what people tend to forget… The (18-hole) playoff plus one more (19).”
