Tommy Fleetwood and Sergio Garcia closed their first round with four birdies on the final five holes, highlighted by a chip-in birdie on the par-3 9th hole.

With the late flurry of birdies, the European duo reached 7-under par, and sit T15 through 18 holes. They were five shots back of front-runners Brian Gay and Rory Sabbatini, who rode a back-nine 29 to a low-round 12-under par.
