Through 15 holes, Harry Higgs was even-par on his opening round at The Northern Trust. But the big man closed with two long-bomb birdies to reach 2-under par after day one at Liberty National.
The first birdie bomb happened on the par-4 seventh hole, where Higgs putted from just off the green, and drained his birdie attempt which measured 78 feet, 5 inches.
Two holes later, on the par-4 ninth, Higgs basically did the same thing, dropping a long bomb from the fringe – this one measuring 80 feet on the nose.
