In the final round of the PGA Championship, Phil Mickelson was in trouble on the on the par-3 5th hole. With his ball in the sandy area to the left of the green, Mickelson simply holed out for birdie to send the Kiawah Island gallery into an absolute frenzy.
The gained shot moved Mickelson to 7 under and two ahead of Koepka through five holes.
As of this post, Phil is still two clear after turning in even-par 36. The lefty legend has nine holes to make history.
