Billy Horschel tapped in for par on the 72nd hole to post 72 and claim a comfortable four-shot victory at the 2022 Memorial Tournament.
The Florida native, who entered Sunday’s finale holding a five-shot lead, offset three bogeys with a birdie and a highlight-reel 53-foot putt for eagle on the par-5 15th hole.
Horschel finished his four days at the famed Muirfield Village Golf Club at 13-under par, four shots clear of Aaron Wise (71).
With the win, Horschel earned $2,160,000 and 550 FedExCup points to move to No. 7 on the money list and 10th in points. He also picked up 68 world ranking points and is expected to No. 11 – his best career position.
