Jason Day shot a bogey-free 9-under 62 on Sunday to claim a one-shot victory at the AT&T Byron Nelson.
The 35-year-old Australian entered Sunday’s finale at TPC Craig Ranch two off the pace but after a hot start with a bunch of birdies, Day was among a six tied for the lead around the turn.
The former world No. 1 finished with nine birdies to reach 23 under, one clear of Austin Eckroat (65) and Si Woo Kim (63), who tied for second.
For his first PGA Tour victory since 2018, Day earned $1,710,000 to move to No. 10 on the tour’s money list. He also picked up 36 Official World Golf Ranking points and will crack the OWGR top 20 for the first time since 2019.
This week’s Winner’s Circle is powered by the Amazon Titleist Store.
