K.H. Lee shot a final-round 9-under 63 to claim a one-shot victory over Jordan Spieth and successfully defend at the AT&T Byron Nelson.

The 30-year-old Korean entered Sunday’s finale at TPC Craig Ranch four back of overnight leader Sebastian Munoz. But after six birdies and an eagle on his first 13 holes, Lee was atop the leaderboard, and never looked back.

The son of Seoul finished with a clean card comprised of seven birdies and an eagle to reach 26 under, one clear of Dallas native Spieth (67), who finished solo second.

With his win, Lee became the first golfer in 42 years to win back-to-back Nelsons. For his second PGA Tour victory, he earned $1,638,000 and 500 FedExCup points. He will move to No. 16 in the FedExCup standings, and No. 30 on the money list. He also picked up 52 Official World Golf Ranking points and will crack the top 50 for the first time in his career, moving from 88 to No. 40.

For his second-place finish, Spieth earned $991,900 and 300 FedExCup points. He also secured 31.2 world-ranking points and will move up from 9 to 8. The three-time major winner will enter this week’s PGA off a win and a runner-up.

This week’s Winner’s Circle is powered by the Amazon Titleist Store.
