K.H. Lee shot a final-round 6-under 66 to claim a three-shot victory at the AT&T Byron Nelson.
The 29-year old Korean entered Sunday’s finale at TPC Craig Ranch one back of overnight leader Sam Burns. But after a five-birdie outburst on his first eight holes, Lee was ahead by four, and never looked back.
The son of Seoul finished with eight birdies against two bogeys to reach 25 under, three clear of Burns, who posted 70 to finish solo second on 22 under.
For his maiden PGA Tour victory, Lee earned $1,458,000 and 500 FedExCup points. He will move to No. 29 in both the FedExCup standings and money list. He also picked up 48 Official World Golf Ranking points and will crack the top 100 for the first time in his career, moving from 137 to No. 59.
For his second-place finish, Burns earned $882,900 and 300 FedExCup points. He also secured 28.8 world-ranking points and will move up from 44 to No. 36. The LSU native will enter this week’s PGA off a win and a runner-up.
