Sebastian Munoz posted a final-round 2-under 70 and then edged Sung-jae Im in a playoff to capture his maiden PGA Tour title at the Sanderson Farms Championship.
Munoz, who entered the day at the Country Club of Jackson (MS) with a share of the lead, made birdie on the final hole to reach 18-under par to match Im, who was in the clubhouse after a Sunday 66.
Playing the par-4 18th in overtime, neither finalist reached the green in regulation (Im went long, while Munoz came up short), but the Colombian was able to get up and down for the title-clinching par.
With the victory, the 26-year old Munoz will move up over 70 spots in the world rankings – from 179th to (about) No. 106.

Quotable
“I always will have a special connection to Jackson, Mississippi because this was the first event I ever played as a PGA TOUR member back in 2016. So just one of those places that I’ll just cherish, and this moment just add on to that. I will always be grateful to this city what whatever it got me. Just really happy and blessed to be here.”
