Si Woo Kim carded back-to-back weekend rounds of 64 to claim a one-stroke victory at the 2023 Sony Open.
The 27-year-old Korean reeled off three straight birdies out of the gate on Sunday but closed his front nine with birdie-bogey-birdie-bogey to turn on 32. Kim, though, was flawless on the closing nine at Waialae Country Club, finishing with six pars and three birdies, highlighted by gains on the final two holes to reach 18-under par, one clear of Hayden Buckley (68).
For his first win of the 2023 season, Kim earned $1,422,000 and 500 FedExCup points. He also picked up 39 Official World Golf Ranking points and will jump from 84th to No. 41.
