Winner’s Circle: Viktor Hovland Claims Victory at WWT Championship

Viktor Hovland shot a final-round 4-under 67 to claim a four-stroke victory over Carlos Ortiz at the 2021 World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba.

The 23-year old Norwegian finished his final round at the El Camaleon course with two bogeys against six birdies to reach 23-under par.

With the victory, Hovland earned $1,296,000 and 500 FedExCup points. He will move to No. 5 on the PGA Tour’s Money List and No. 4 in the FedEx Cup standings.

The win was Hovland’s third of his young PGA Tour career. He’s expected to move to No. 10 (from 17th) in the Official Golf World Rankings when they get released later this evening.
