On Sunday at the Wentworth Club, Billy Horschel produced a 5-under 67 and then edged Rory McIlroy on the second playoff hole to claim victory at the 2024 BMW PGA Championship.
Horschel’s final day at the famed Surrey track included two bogeys against six birdies and an eagle en route to a four-day total of 20-under par.
It was the 37-year-old Horschel’s second career BMW PGA win and should put the Florida native firmly on U.S. Ryder Cup Captain Keegan Bradley’s radar entering 2025.
To secure victory at the European tour’s flagship event, Horschel played a (mostly) full bag of Titleist, including a Pro V1x golf ball.
