On Sunday at historic St Andrews, Cameron Smith produced a sizzling round of 64 to claim a one-shot victory at The 150th OPEN Championship.
Smith’s final day at the famed Old Course included 10 pars and eight birdies, highlighted by a string of five straight on Nos. 10-14 en route to a four-day total of 20-under par.
Cameron Young (65) finished alone in second on 19-under par, one clear of a stunned Rory McIlroy (70), who was near tears on the 18th green.
Smith secured his sixth career PGA Tour title, and third of the 2022 campaign, playing a full bag of Titleist gear – from driver to golf balls.
