On Sunday at the Bay Hill Golf Club, Scottie Scheffler signed for an 6-under 66 to claim a five-shot victory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Scheffler’s final day in Orlando included six birdies against no bogeys to settle on 15-under par.
The 27-year-old Texan secured his seventh career PGA Tour title playing a mixed bag of TaylorMade, Titleist, and Srixon.
But the buzz online centered around Scheffler’s switch to a mallet putter ahead of the API.
Scottie Scheffler gained over 1.5 strokes on Saturday with the putter. Maybe Rory shouldn’t have suggested a mallet.
“I’d love to see Scottie try a mallet, but selfishly for me, you know, Scottie does everything else so well that, you know, he’s giving the rest of us a chance.” pic.twitter.com/OxhkVkskXH
