Sam Burns carded a final-round 65 and then edged world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (72) in a playoff to claim victory at the 2022 Charles Schwab Challenge.
The Louisiana native finished his final day at famed Colonial Country Club with seven birdies against two bogeys to reach 9-under par.
Burns earned $1,512,000 and 500 FedExCup points, which will move the 25-year-old to No. 3 on the money list, and No. 2 on points. He also picked up 60 OWGR points to move up a spot, from 10th to No. 9.
