On Sunday at Colonial Country Club, Sam Burns produced a final-round 65 and then beat Scottie Scheffler with a 40-foot birdie putt to claim victory at the 2022 Charles Schwab Challenge.
Burns’ final day at the famed golf course included seven birdies against two bogeys en route to a four-day total of 9-under par.
It was the 25-year-old Louisiana native’s fourth career PGA Tour victory, and third of the season.
Burns secured his second consecutive overtime title playing a full bag of Callaway gear including a Rogue driver, Apex irons, Odyssey putter, and a Chrome Soft ball.
