The 42 year-old Chalmers, a tour professional since 1998, is seeking his first win on the PGA Tour at the Nicklaus-designed Montrêux in Reno, NV.
The Aussie closed strong with 5 birdies and a par over the final six holes, worth 10 points in this Stableford scoring format. Woodland and Ben Martin are tied for 2nd place with 33 points, six points behind Chalmers.
