On Sunday at Colonial Country Club, Daniel Berger produced five birdies, highlighted by a final-hole gain, en route to a 4-under 66 to join Collin Morikawa in a sudden-death playoff.
On the first overtime hole, Berger bested the 23-year old burgeoning star by making par to claim his first PGA Tour win in three years.
Berger and Morikawa finished their four days in Forth Worth, Texas at 15-under par, one stroke clear of a foursome which included Jason Kokrak (64), Bryson DeChambeau (66), Justin Rose (66), and Xander Schauffele (69).
The 27-year old Florida native won his third career title by playing a mixed bag of Callaway (driving metals, wedges) and Taylormade (irons).
