BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Stewart Cink continued his red-hot 2026 season on the PGA Tour Champions, pulling away for a three-shot victory in the Regions Tradition on Sunday at Greystone Golf & Country Club.
The 52-year-old Florence, Ala., native closed with a 3-under 69 to finish at 18-under 270, securing his fourth win of the season and second major in just three weeks. Cink had already claimed the Senior PGA Championship earlier this year.
Cink opened with back-to-back 7-under 65s and maintained control throughout, stretching his lead to four shots with consecutive birdies early on the back nine Sunday. He navigated breezy conditions to seal the win in his home state.
Scott Hend of Australia finished second at 15 under, while Colin Montgomerie took third at 13 under — his best finish in more than three years on the circuit.
The victory marks Cink’s eighth career win on the Champions Tour, matching his total on the PGA Tour (highlighted by his 2009 Open Championship triumph). He has now won three of his last four starts, with only a fourth-place finish interrupting the streak.
After tapping in on the 18th, Cink celebrated by riding the traditional winner’s green bicycle around the course — a fitting tribute for the former Georgia Tech standout and Alabama native dominating the 50-and-over circuit.
Cink earned $390,000 for the win and continues to build momentum as one of the top performers in senior golf this year.
