After failing to keep his PGA Tour card in 2025, Stewart Cink has announced his commitment to play full-time on the PGA Tour Champions circuit neat season.
Cink, who turned 51 in May, has been part of the PGA Tour since 1997. In 689 starts, Cink finished in the money 506 times, including eight times holding the winner’s check, highlighted by a win at the 2009 Open Championship. In total, he earned nearly $44 million playing golf on the PGA Tour.
His decision comes after a two-year run when the reality of age hit the former major champion hard: in 43 PGA Tour starts, spanning two seasons (2023 and 2024), Cink posted just a single top-10 finish, while missing the cut 22 times.
Cink said he’d discussed the move with his wife, Lisa, who supported his decision. Cink’s last PGA Tour victory was in 2021 at the RBC Heritage, which came on the heels of a win at the Safeway Open, which marked a career rebirth season. Cink has already tasted success on the Champions Tour, winning the Ally Challenge in August 2024.
