Following heavy disapproval from some fellow professional golfers, Vijay Singh has pulled out of the Korn Ferry Tour event to be held at TPC Sawgrass on June 11-14.
Singh, who has won 34 times on the PGA Tour, was eligible for the event but was raked over the coals by some of the younger pros trying to make their way because he was taking up a spot from somebody trying to earn a PGA Tour card.
Singh has already earned his PGA Tour card for life (20 PGA Tour wins will get you there) and ostensibly just wanted to get some reps in as he couldn’t get into the Charles Schwab Challenge on the PGA Tour that same week.
