Holy smokes! Andy Sullivan goes with a driver-off-the-deck during the opening round of the Sky Sports British Masters.
Playing his second shot on the par-5 sixth hole at Walton Heath, Sully pulled out the big dog and gave it a rip. The Englishman’s ball, which took off like a rocket, landed a bit short of the green, but rolled along the fringe (dangerously past a bunker) and nearly ended up in the hole for an albatross-2. He settled for a nice tap-in eagle-3, though, to finish day one at 3-under par 69, good for T9.
Amazingly, it was rated as only the third best shot of the day. Hmmm.
