Tom Pernice Jr. and Scott Hoch carded a second-round 6 under, and will enter Sunday’s finale of the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf with a three-shot lead at 15-under par.
The duo played their second set at the par-54 Top of the Rock and finished with one bogey against seven birdies.
“Well, a lot of it’s going to depend on how the weather is, whether it’s going to be this gusty or it’s going to settle down a little bit,” said Pernice when asked about Sunday’s strategy.
“If the conditions calm down a little bit and you have control of your ball, it’s just about execution basically.”
Jepser Parnevik and Jeff Maggert rode nine birdies at Ozark National to a low-round 62 and a share of second-place at 12-under par, alongside the team of Paul Goydos and Kevin Sutherland, who posted a day-two 66, also on the par-71 course.
One further back was the twosome of Roger Chapman and David Frost, who were alone in fourth at 11-under par, following a 51 at the Top of the Rock.
