Tom Pernice Jr. and Scott Hoch entered Sunday’s final round of the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf with a three-shot lead, and Pernice essentially clinched the title on the first hole with an ace.
The 58-year old UCLA product used a 7-iron for his hole-in-one (eagle-1) on the 175-yard first hole at the Top of the Rock at Big Cedar Lodge.
Pernice and Hoch would go on to win the two-man team tournament by five shots.
