Brad Faxon, Smylie Kaufman to Replace Gary Koch, Roger Maltbie at NBC Golf Channel

Brad Faxon and Smylie Kaufman will join the broadcast team at NBC Sports and Golf Channel, beginning in 2023, according to Golf Week.

The pair will replace the outgoing tandem of Roger Maltbie and Gary Koch.

The 61-year-old Faxon, an eight-time PGA Tour winner, will take over Koch’s role and work from the tower, while Kaufman will become Maltbie’s replacement as an on-course reporter. The 31-year-old LSU alum received rave reviews for his work at the PGA Championship.

Kaufman is a former winner on the PGA Tour and has a direct line to the game’s top stars including close friends Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth.

The PNC Championship, Dec. 16-18, will be Koch’s final NBC event.
