Bronte Law produced a final-round 4-under 67 at Kingsmill Resort to secure a wire-to-wire win at the Pure Silk Championship.

The 24-year old from England via UCLA finished her final day in Williamsburg, Virginia with one bogey offset by five birdies, including a clinching gain on No. 16 en route to a 17-under par total.

“I believe in hard work and determination. I really stayed so focused out there today,” said Law. “Obviously, my caddie, Jeff, did a great job keeping me calm.

“I guess after San Fran [playoff loss] it really gave me perspective that I can compete at the top. I came in this week with the sole intention of getting that one better.

“It feels really good.”

With the win, Law is projected to move up to No. 24 in the Rolex Rankings.

Sweden’s Madelene Sagstrom shot a 66 to record her career-best finish at 15-under, good for a T2 alongside 2019 winners Brooke Henderson (68) and Nasa Hataoka (69).

“I’m just right now just really proud of myself. I had a game plan coming into this week, and I’m just so happy,” said Sagstrom.

“I just followed through with to the entire way. I’m really proud of myself.”

Henderson, who was one off the lead heading into the final round, went bogey-free and finished with three birdies, highlighted by two late gains on Nos. 16 and 18 to secure a top-2 finish.

“To shoot 3-under on a Sunday and be that close to the leaderboard and know that you left some out there is a good thing,” said Henderson, who won earlier this year at the LOTTE Championship.

“So definitely just looking forward to the rest of the summer. I think this was a good way to lead into the U.S. Open next week.”

Wei-Ling Hsu (66) made a final-hole birdie to secure a top-5 finish at 14-under par.

“Oh, my gosh, the biggest fight of my life I think. Yeah, I mean, I started struggling with my driver a little bit out there and I had to really stay strong and just play to my advantages, just really try and find the fairways. I was hitting my irons really good. As long as I found the fairways I was going to create some chances. Ended up doing that towards the end. Yeah, feels amazing.”
