On Memorial Day, not many of the multi-millionaire tour golfers took the time to honor America’s war dead.
But a few did pay tribute to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
One of those was reigning U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau.
The big bomber wrote:
“Home of the free, because of the brave. Today, and everyday, we take some time to honor the outstanding bravery and sacrifice many undergo defending our country. May we never forget all that has, and is, being done to ensure our amazing freedom.”

LPGA Tour star Lexi Thompson also offered her appreciation, and remembered “all of our fallen soldiers.”
She wrote: “Can’t thank our military enough for all they do to serve and protect us and our freedom. Honored to be a part of the SEAL Legacy Foundation and give back to our #NavySeals.

We haven’t heard from Hunter Mahan in a while, but he was classy enough to post his thoughts.
Thank you to all the men and women who fight for the freedoms of this great country! It’s been incredible to read the stories of soldiers on Twitter today who love this country so much. Thank you to all that have made the ultimate sacrifice.

A couple of Golf Channel names also offered tributes:
Brandel Chamblee wrote: “Happy Memorial Day.
“Hardly a day goes by that I don’t think about how lucky I am to have been born in this country; to benefit from the profound ideas that gave it its philosophy of government and the men and women who fought and died to secure and protect those ideas.”
