Davis Love III was the captain of the winning U.S. team at the 2016 Ryder Cup matches at Hazeltine.
To show his appreciation, the captain sent along one of the coolest gift to the entire team (players and vice-captains)- BBQ Smokers from Lang.
As a table setter, Lang was hired by Love to provide “authentic Southern Soul BBQ For team dinner” at Hazeltine.
Apparently the players loved the food so much that Love, and wife Robin, sent them as gifts to the members of the team.
The custom smokers, with the Ryder Cup logo, are produced two at a time by Lang.
This shipment is being packed for a trip to Texas for Jordan Spieth.
This smoker is headed to California for Dustin Johnson.
The final one was delivered to Bubba Watson.
The Lang Smokers are becoming popular within the golf industry, apparently – as Quail Hollow is getting into the act. The PGA Championship dinner (which Love is part of) is going to have some good BBQ dinners.
