A former male college golfer has transitioned to female and now has an eye on the LPGA.

Meet Hailey Davidson, who recently claimed a women’s mini tour victory at Providence Golf Club in Orlando. Golfweek reports that Davidson is the first transgendered golfer to win a pro tournament in the U.S.

The date was May 13, 2021, and on the same day, Davidson received word that the United States Golf Association (USGA) approved of the NBC Golf Channel employee’s eligibility to compete under its new Gender Policy for USGA Championships.

The LPGA is reviewing Davidson’s application.

“We are currently reviewing Hailey’s application to participate in LPGA Tour events under the LPGA’s gender policy,” said Heather Daly-Donofrio, the LPGA’s chief tour operations officer.

“The policy is designed to be a private and confidential process between the LPGA and the athlete.”

  1. He’s a man. Always will be genetically a man. It’s science. Real science.
The women should refuse to play with him.
  2. Totally agree. He couldn’t keep up playing with his own sex so used his physical advantage to trample all over the women.
  3. I totally  agree  not  fair to have  a  biological  man  playing  women  sports  very  much  an advantage
