Hudson Swafford posted a final-round 69 to claim a one-stroke victory over Tyler McCumber (66) at the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship.
Swafford finished his final day at Corales Puntacana Golf Club with two blemishes offset by an eagle and four birdies, highlighted by a trophy-clinching gain on the par-3 17th hole to reach 18-under par, one clear of McCumber.
The win in the Domincan Republic was Swafford’s second career PGA Tour title.
Along with the a glass trophy, the former Georgia Bulldog earned $720,000, 500 FedExCup points, and 24 OWGR points. He is expected to move to No. 165 in the Official World Golf Rankings, a nearly 200 spot jump.
For his runner-up finish, McCumber took home $436,000, 300 FedExCup points, and 14.4 world ranking points.
