Tiger Woods posted a 2-under par 70 on Sunday at Augusta National Golf Club to capture the 2019 Masters – his 15th major title.
The 43-year old Woods signed for a final-day card comprised of eight pars, four bogeys, and six birdies, highlighted by three gains in a four-hole stretch on Nos. 13, 15 and 16, en route to a 13-under par total, one clear of Dustin Johnson (68), Xander Schauffele (68), and Brooks Koepka (70).
The win earned Woods $2,070,000 and 600 FedExCup points, which moves him to No. 8 on the PGA Tour’s points list.
More importantly, Woods scored 100 Official World Golf Rankings points which bumps him up six spots to No. 6.
Runners-up Johnson, Schauffele, and Koepka each took home checks for $858,668 and 43.33 OWGR points – about the same amount of money (and more OWGR points) that the winner of an opposite-field PGA Tour event scores.
This week’s Final Scores & Payouts is powered by Callaway Chrome Soft Golf Balls.
