Former New England Patriots running back Danny Woodhead shot an even-par 71 at Omaha Country Club on Wednesday to advance into the sectional qualifying for the U.S. Open, June 16-19.
The 37-year-old Nebraska native was one of five to advance from the 84-player field in Omaha.
Woodhead signed for a scorecard featuring four birdies against four bogeys alongside 10 pars. His even-par score was bettered by only two players: pro Corbin Mills (67) and Conner Peck (70).
