Phil Mickelson won the 2021 PGA Championship at Kiawah Island’s Ocean Course with a four-day total of 6-under par, two shots better than Brooks Koepka and Louis Oosthuizen.

With the victory, Mickelson became the first player in history to win a major championship after turning 50 years of age. With the big win, Phil joins Nick Faldo and Lee Trevino as the only six-time major winners, and one of only 14 players in history to win at least a half-dozen majors.

The 50-year old Mickelson also secured himself a PGA Tour exemption for the rest of 2021 AND then FIVE more years, taking the popular lefty through the 2025-26 Tour season when Mickelson would be 56.

Afterwards, the golf world, along with many of Mickelson’s contemporaries, congratulated the 50-year superstar, who replied to a few while enjoying some wine.
