The field at the 90th edition of the Valero Texas Open will be headlined by home hero Jordan Spieth, who will look to break a nearly four-year long winning drought at TPC San Antonio. The three-time major winner will be joined by a pair of fellow top-flight Texans in Scottie Scheffler and Ryan Palmer.
Other marquee names include defending champion Corey Conners, who enters off two straight top 10s (in stroke play); Tony Finau – the highest ranked player in the field at No. 13; Japanese star Hideki Matsuyama; 2019 U.S. Open winner Gary Woodland; five-time major winner Phil Mickelson; and Rickie Fowler who’s in the midst of a career tailspin.
