Jeongeun Lee6 will enter Sunday’s final round of the Amundi Evian Championship with a commanding five-shot lead.
Lee6 followed up Friday’s historic round of 61 with a 3-under 68 to extend her lead to five strokes over American Yealimi Noh (67).
The South Korean offset three bogeys with four birdies along with a highlight-reel hole out for eagle from the fairway on No. 11.
“I’m satisfied with my result today because some shot a little bit big miss, but I did up and down well,” said Lee6, who earned her first and only LPGA Tour victory at the 2018 U.S. Women’s Open.
“I’m waiting so much (for my) second win, but this tournament is even (also) the major tournament. If I win, I’ll be very happy.
“Huge honor.”
Lydia Ko (68) rounded out the top 3 leaders at 12 under.
Another trio was tied for fourth on 11 under, including Minjee Lee (65), Ayaka Furue (68) and Pajaree Anannarukarn (72).
Ariya Jutanugarn, who shot a 63 on Friday, stumbled to a 2-over 73 on Saturday and sits solo seventh on 10 under.
Charley Hull (66) joined past Evian champions In Gee Chun (68) and Hyo Joo Kim (69) at 9 under.
