Newly-minted Masters champion Jon Rahm showed up on a popular podcast wearing his new Augusta National Green Jacket.
According to the 28-year-old Spaniard there are some strict rules regarding where and how the ionic jacket can be seen in public settings.
Asked about those rules, Rahm said, “I don’t know all the rules but there’s a dress code that comes with it.
“You learn about this quickly when you have to sign documents and things… Obviously we all know the rules around Augusta National, right. They tell you you’re representing Augusta National. The jacket is Augusta National.
“So the least you can wear is golf attire. That’s the worst dress code you can have. So no jeans, no shorts… It’s complicated.
“The jacket can’t make a public appearance without them knowing. They need approval for everything. They needed approval for this (podcast appearance). I can’t be photographed with the jacket having alcohol. It goes on and on.”
