Two more birdies on Nos. 3 and 4 (his 13th and 14th) got Thomas to the top of the leaderboard at 3-under par, but a double bogey on the 5th hole, a 370-yard par-4, dropped the reigning PGA Champion back to 1-under par 70.

The Frenchman Levy carded a 3-over par 74, while England’s Fleetwood posted a 4-over 75.
