Lexi Thompson recently came under attack by the leftwing authoritarians on social media for daring to play a round of golf with the President of the United States.
On Friday, the 24-year old star arrived at Lake Merced Golf Club’s 14th hole at 2-over par, and, with just five holes to play, in danger of missing the cut (+3) at the LPGA Mediheal Championship.
Thompson didn’t give in, though, and starting with this lengthy birdie putt, she finished her final five holes with three gains (Nos. 14, 15, and 18) to not only make the weekend, but get into the red numbers.
At 1-under par, she is now part of the weekend’s chasing pack – just six strokes off the pace of So Yeon Ryu.
