The authoritarian mobs on Twitter and Instagram reportedly harassed pro golfer Lexi Thompson so much that they forced the 24-year old Floridian off the social media channels, due to what she cited as “hurtful comments.”
And what did the LPGA star do that offended these left-wing goons so much? Well, she dared to golf with the President of the United States, Donald Trump. Just like Justin Thomas has done, and Tiger Woods, and Jack Nicklaus, and Dustin Johnson, and Rory McIlroy, and Hideki Matsuyama, etc…
Dear, people (and bots), get a life! It’s a damn round of golf, not an endorsement.
According to FOX News:
Professional golfer Lexi Thompson announced that she would be taking “a break from social media” after receiving a slew of “hurtful” comments following a round of golf with President Trump.
The 24-year-old LPGA star shared a selfie on Instagram Sunday with a message that she would be stepping away from all her social media platforms for the time being after becoming “too involved with it.”
“Hey everybody, just want to say I will be taking a break from social media. If I post it will be from my management team for me,” her farewell post read.
“I’m too involved with it, and to read some of the hurtful things being said to me lately isn’t fair and I’m not dealing with it.”
The comments came after Thompson was pictured earlier this month at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Fla., with the president himself and conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh.
Frank Sinatra once said, “the best revenge is massive success,” so here’s wishing Lexi much of that for the rest of the season, starting with this week’s MEDIHEAL Championship, which takes place in the belly of the beast, San Francisco.
Meanwhile, in related news, Tiger Woods said, ‘I give zero f###s.’
