The LIV Golf League storms into Mexico City for its sixth stop of 2025, April 25-27, at the historic Club de Golf Chapultepec, promising a high-octane clash of golf’s biggest names. This marks LIV’s first event in the capital and third in Mexico, with a $25 million purse ($4 million individual, $3 million team) up for grabs over 54 holes.
Jon Rahm, fresh off a T14 at the Masters, leads the field alongside Torque GC’s Joaquin Niemann, the 2024 Mayakoba champ and current individual points leader.
Local heroes Carlos Ortiz (Torque GC) and Abraham Ancer (Fireballs GC), both top-13 in points, aim to ignite the home crowd.
Fireballs GC, captained by Sergio Garcia, tops the team standings after a blazing start to the season. Reigning team champs Ripper GC, led by Marc Leishman’s Miami win, look to keep their momentum.

The par-71, 7,345-yard course, perched 7,800 feet above sea level, will see balls fly farther, favoring big hitters like Bryson DeChambeau, who finished T5 at Augusta. Past Chapultepec winners Dustin Johnson (2017, 2019), Phil Mickelson (2018), and Patrick Reed (2020) from the WGC-Mexico Championship add intrigue.
Rahm (+500), DeChambeau (+700), and Niemann (+800) lead the odds, per Bovada.
The tournament gets underway with LIV’s signature shotgun start at 1:05 p.m. CT Friday (12:05 p.m. CT Saturday-Sunday).
