PING Golf, a titan in golf equipment manufacturing, has announced a landmark sponsorship agreement with LIV Golf’s Torque GC, captained by Joaquin Niemann, just ahead of the LIV Golf Mexico City event at Club de Golf Chapultepec.
The multi-year deal, effective immediately, marks PING’s first team sponsorship in the LIV Golf League, aligning the brand with one of the circuit’s most dynamic squads.
Torque GC, led by the 26-year-old Chilean star Niemann, boasts a roster including Carlos Ortiz, Sebastian Munoz, and Mito Pereira. The team, known for its Latin American flair and four team victories since joining LIV in 2022, finished fifth in the 2024 season standings.
Niemann, a long-time PING staff player since turning pro in 2018, has wielded PING clubs to secure four individual LIV titles, including a historic 59 at Mayakoba in 2024, and two PGA Tour wins, highlighted by a win at Riviera in 2022.
“PING has been with me from the start,” Niemann said in a press release. “Having them back Torque GC feels like a natural fit, and we’re excited to represent their legacy on a global stage.”

The sponsorship will see PING’s logo prominently displayed on Torque GC’s team apparel and gear, with custom branding integrated into their on-course presence. While financial terms were not disclosed, the deal includes collaborative efforts to engage fans through exclusive Torque-branded PING products, set to launch later in 2025.
“Joaquin and Torque GC embody the performance and passion we value at PING,” said PING President John K. Solheim. “This partnership strengthens our commitment to innovation and growing the game worldwide.”
As Torque GC tees off in Mexico City, where Niemann is a top-3 betting favorite (+800), the PING sponsorship adds extra wattage to their campaign.
