After a month of high-stakes golf in Europe, the ladies tour heads back to the states for the inaugural edition of the FM Championship. The new LPGA event will be contested at TPC Boston, the former host of the PGA Tour’s annual Labor Day weekend tournament.

Course History: TPC Boston

Established in 2002, TPC Boston was originally designed by Arnold Palmer and redesigned in 2007 by Gil Hanse in collaboration with PGA Tour player Brad Faxon.

TPC Boston has hosted 17 PGA Tour events including the Deutsche Bank Championship (2003-2016), Dell Technologies Championship (2017-18) and The Northern Trust (2020).

Past champions at TPC Boston include multi-major winners like Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, and Bryson DeChambeau.

For this week’s LPGA championship, the course will play to a par 72 stretching to 6,598 yards.

This is the first time TPC Boston has hosted an event on the LPGA Tour. In fact, the 2024 FM Championship is just the second LPGA Tour event to be held at a TPC course. The Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown was held at TPC Harding Park in 2023. The Kroger Queen City Championship will be held at TPC River’s Bend in Cincinnati for the first time in September.
