The LPGA Tour is out with a promo video for the 2016-17 season – where they leverage their young superstars in a tongue in cheek sort of script.
In the clip, Brooke Henderson (19), Lydia Ko (19), and Ariya Jutanugarn (21) are shown in b-roll tape with Ko doing voice-over, highlighting all their accomplishments – and almost sounding as if they’re looking back on their careers – “we’ve walked these fairways for years… won some big tournaments.”
Then Ko states, “but we’re not kids anymore. We’re staring 20 right in the face.” The camera then cuts to Ko, who looks into the camera and unveils the money line: “We refuse to let age slow us down.”
