Nelly Korda shot a 67 on Sunday at the Pelican Golf Club to claim a three-shot victory at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge.
Korda’s day was highlighted by five straight birdies on Nos. 11-15 to reach 14 under, three clear of Jin Hee Im (68), Weiwei Zhang (70) and Charley Hull (71).
“It’s so nice to play in front of friends and family so close to home,” said Korda, the world No. 1. “I think that’s what makes me so comfortable out here.
“I didn’t start the day the way I wanted to, but it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish. To have that run that I did on those five holes, I kept myself in it all day.
“I didn’t make big mistakes but couldn’t get really anything going. To go on that run that I did feels really nice.”
