Phil Mickelson will miss the LIV Golf League season opener due to what he described as a “minor shoulder injury,” sustained while working out.

Mickelson announced the news on social media, expressing disappointment but also optimism about returning for LIV Golf’s next event in Adelaide, Australia.

Ollie Schniederjans, fresh off a win on the Asian Tour, will replace Mickelson for the event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
