1. KIZZIRE LEADS, RICKIE IN HUNT


 
Patton Kizzire shot an opening-round 9-under 62 and leads the OHL Classic by two shots over Vaughn Taylor. Tournament headliner Rickie Fowler is three back at 6 under.


2. BUHAI ON TOP AT BLUE BAY

On a blustery day at Jian Lake Blue Bay Golf Club, Ashleigh Buhai posted a 4-under 68 to get to 9 under, and the 36-hole lead at the Blue Bay LPGA. Red-hot Shanshan Feng is just one back.


3. WIESBURGER IS LEADER OF THE PACK

Austrian Bernd Wiesberger posted a 5-under 67 in the opening round of the Nedbank Golf Challenge and will take a one-shot lead into day two at Gary Player Country Club. A pair of South Africans, Branden Grace (-4) and Charl Schwartel (-4), are in the hunt, while defending champion l (-3) also performed well.


4. PGA GOES WEST


 
The PGA of America held a press conference today, announcing the Olympic Club in San Francisco as the host venue for a pair if its marquee events: the 2028 PGA Championship and 2032 Ryder Cup.


5. CHAMPIONS ADD EVENTS

The Champions Tour released its 2018 tournament schedule, which will feature 27 official tournaments, up three from last season.


6. SHOOTOUT TEAMS SET

Host Greg Norman announced the 12 teams for this years’s QBE Shootout, which will once again be contested at the venerable Tiburón Golf Club in Naples Florida, December 8-10.
