The NFL’s Conference Championship games kick off at 3:30 PM ET with Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers visiting Matt Ryan’s Atlanta Falcons in the NFC.
The nightcap, at 6:40 PM, has the Pittsburgh Steelers and Ben Roethlisberger traveling to Foxboro to take on Tom Brady and the New England Patriots for the AFC title.
With this being a golf site, and in order to weave some content into the big football game, a post on the golf game’s of the four quarterbacks felt like a neat post.
So here we go. The swings of the four QBs, listed in order of their USGA handicaps – which are noted in parenthesis.
Matt Ryan (1.2)
While all four quarterbacks are very good golfers – all reportedly under 8 handicaps, Ryan is seriously good. The All-Pro from Boston College is said to play to around a 1 handicap, and was listed at No. 3 in Golf Digest’s Top 100 Athletes.
Aaron Rodgers (4.0)
Rodgers plays out of Green Bay Country Club, and currently holds an index of 4, according to the Wisconsin Golf Association.
Ben Roethlisberger (7.0)
Big Ben is a power hitter, who, according to President Donald Trump, has a penchant for hitting his tee shots so hard into trees that he might have killed one. Ben is listed as playing to a 7 cap, the same as his uniform number. You be the judge.
Tom Brady (8.0)
The 4-time Super Bowl champ, Brady, has a sweet, smooth swing but claims to have an “8” handicap. Based on his swing in this video with Jordan Spieth, as well as clips from past appearances at Pebble Beach, Brady may be the biggest sandbagger of all. Which wouldn’t surprise his detractors outside of Boston.
