Team USA will take a commanding 11-5 lead into Sunday’s singles matches after taking two more points in Saturday afternoon’s fourball session.
Dustin Johnson and Collin Morikawa continued to shine, and once again put the first points on the board in the afternoon, beating Rory McIlroy and Ian Poulter, 4&3.
This put the United States up 10-3 with three matches left on the board.
The Europeans though quickly got on the board when Spaniards Sergoi Garcia and Jon Rahm took down Brooks Koepka and Jordan Spieth, 2&1, to make it 10-4 overall.
Shane Lowry and Tyrrell Hatton added another point for the Euros when the Lowry drained a 10-footer for par to win their match over Harris English and Tony Finau, 1-up.
Finally, in the anchor match, the American pair of Bryson DeChambeau and Scottie Scheffler won four of their final holes to claim a 3&1 victory over Tommy Fleetwood and Viktor Hovland.
