Sebastian Munoz shot a third-round 67 and will enter Sunday’s finale of the John Deere Classic with a one-shot lead on 16-under par.

Munoz signed for a scorecard featuring two bogeys against six birdies, including three back-nine gains to to secure the marquee after 54 holes.

“It was huge,” said Munoz of his back-nine scoring spree. “We could see on the leaderboard that people were going low, and you didn’t want to kind of fade into the leaderboard.

“So it was really important to birdie 11, 13 and 16 coming in, so it was nice to be in the position I am right now.”

One back was Brandon Hagy, who carded a 67 and sits solo second on 15-under par.

“Yeah, I think I’m driving the ball well, hitting some approach shots pretty close,” said Hagy. “The last couple days I’ve made some putts, as well.

“So I think there’s little bits of each part of my game that have been going well, and I’m just looking to continue that.”

Ryan Moore (68), Cameron Champ (65), Kevin Na (66), Scott Brown (63) and Adam Long (64) were tied for third on 14-under par, one clear of Luke List (71), Chez Reavie (69), Jon Vegas (67) and Maverick McNealy (65), who rounded out the top-10 leaders.
